Alnwick Dolphins ASC

We are a volunteer run competitive swimming club based at the Willowburn Leisure Centre in Alnwick, Northumberland. We aim to enable swimmers from age 7 through to early adulthood to progress from their early swimming lessons to competitive racing at local, regional and national levels.

We expect swimmers wishing to join our club to have completed at least Stage 6 on the Swimming Development Program and, ideally, to be 7-9 years old. The older the swimmer the higher the standard we would expect as they would often need to start in a higher training group. We do consider swimmers outside this age range if they are already swimming competitively, or at a high enough level, or if they show exceptional potential.

At the club we believe the joys of swimming should be available to all, irrespective of financial situation. If swimmers are successfully offered a place at the club, we do have support provisions for people on low/moderate incomes, available via the committee should it be needed.
